It's Black Friday Which Means Christmas is Here
It's the day after Thanksgiving, and everyone is officially in Christmas mode (or still sleeping off all that turkey). You may be reading this standing in line for the latest Black Friday deal, with Christmas music in the background, or the beginnings of your Christmas letter lying next to you.
Either way, you slice it; Christmas is here.
Everyone talks about the spirit of Christmas. And undoubtedly, we will all hear at least one person say, "I wish the Christmas spirit/season would never end." The first thought that always pops in my head when I hear that is, "Why does it have to?" Why can't we celebrate the birth of our savior year-round? Why does "niceness" have to be limited to a specific time of year?

I don't think it's any coincidence that a holiday centered on the Son of God, the epitome of love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness, is associated with a caring and compassionate season of people's lives. I believe it speaks to the fact that people spend at least a couple extra seconds, minutes, hours, days thinking about Jesus and the good things in the world. Why can't we do this year-round?
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another." - John 13:34-35
The message I felt led to share with you today is short, simple, and to the point; Spend time with our Lord and savior every day and not just during this Christmas season. Ask him to give you his love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness to share with the world. Let's come together and turn this world around with the love of Christ one day at a time!Remember, even on Black Friday; you can share God's love with the world. (And that doesn't have to stop after Christmas!)
