God Aint No Fool!
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength." 1 Corinthians 1:25“For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord." - Isaiah 55:8Have you ever thought to yourself, "I don't need God's help with this." or "God is wrong, I know the right way to do this for my life."? I know I have, and it never fails that I look back and see those statements and think to myself that I am a complete idiot. Who am I to think that I know better than the creator of the universe? But we all do it, we all have moments where we are foolish, and try and do things on our own...welcome to the day where we can celebrate it...Happy April Fools Day!God is not a fool, He is quite the opposite. We may think that God doesn't understand what we are going through or that someone else knows better, but He has made it very clear that is not the case...Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? - 1 Corinthians 1:20Now Christians should know better. Being close to God and following Jesus should teach you many things, but importantly it should show you the many reasons to follow Christ. I don't don't expect one of my non-Christian friends to understand Jesus's sacrifice for me and what it means and how powerful it is. It just doesn't make sense to them. However, God did put us on the earth to speak with each other and help explain the power behind it."For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." - 1 Corinthians 1:18This just makes me want to be certain that everyone understands it. I am a teacher at heart, and love teaching a new skill to someone. This message (Gods Word) is something that is there for the taking, it just has to be presented and given to those that may not have heard or don't understand it. Be the light and the catalyst to your friends to make the Word of God powerful and not foolishness! At one point you were like them and someone shared it with you. Be that person to someone else.Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. - 1 Corinthians 1:26-27
