God Has Called You to Go Into The World; Are You Responding?

There comes a point in our spiritual walk, where we need to stop venting and start ministering. It is no longer about saying ‘I think’, ‘how great would it be’, or ‘what if’. It’s time we start saying, ‘In God’s word’, ‘scripture says’, ‘God tells us to’, or ‘in life, we are instructed and guided to’, etc… We need to be okay with praying with people, we need to be bold enough to pick up the phone or meet someone rather than just sending a text, and we need to step out of our comfort zone and say Jesus’ name in public. As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to be intentional, passionate, compassionate, and relentless!

We should always direct people and push them closer to God than our personal opinions. We should pray for our hearts to break the same as God’s heartbreaks. If we see a brother or sister falling, we should help pick them up by guiding them back to Christ. If we see a friend in need, we should help them and be sure they are putting their priorities back in order. When we see a struggle, we should offer a hand. When we see joy, we should celebrate it. If we see pain or mourning, we should mourn with them and then help bring them back to Christ to find joy, fulfillment, comfort, and restoration again.Am I saying all this just to vent? No, rather I am saying this in hopes that it lights a fire in you, encourages you, and inspires you to get out and start witnessing, reaching, and ministering to people!

Go Into The World

So how are we going to do that? Here are three simple steps that help the introvert in me be bold enough to step out and represent Christ wherever I go!God has entrusted us to witness to, lend a hand, love, and bring those around us closer to Christ. It’s all He asks us to do!

“This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.” - 1 Corinthians 4:2

At the end of each day, I would rather say, ‘I did my best’ than, 'I didn’t try at all.' I honestly have the hardest time living with myself when God has put something on my heart and I push it aside and ignore it in hopes that someone else will do it. Yes, God will find someone else to do the job that we don’t do, because He cares about all of His children and our disobedience will not stop someone else from witnessing to His lost children, however, he will not entrust us with more if we can’t handle the first thing He has asked of us.

My voice may be quiet but the word of God in me speaks louder than any megaphone or microphone could make my voice sound.

“Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable, Speak out in order to judge with righteousness and to defend the needy and the poor.” - Proverbs 31:8-10

Seeking God for more wisdom, understanding, and knowledge is not just for ourselves. While it is great to know much about God’s word and to continuously grow in a deeper relationship with Him, however, it’s all meaningless if we are selfish and keep it to ourselves. What kind of heaven would it be if it were only selfish, greedy, non-caring, non-sharing people? I for sure wouldn’t want to spend eternity with those kinds of people. Therefore, It is our responsibility to share God’s love and word with everyone!

Seeking God through prayer is key.

“Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.” - 1 Corinthians 16:11

It's time to get up and start! Go into the world and speak to people! No, you don’t have to hold your bible in your hand while having conversations and no, you don’t have to quote scripture every other sentence, but you do have a responsibility to show love to everyone! The same love that Christ constantly shows us!
