You Are God's Masterpiece

Comparison kills ones original character. Too often we all try to be like someone else. We imitate their character, clothing, hair cut, and often their lifestyle. How about this, instead of being intimidated by others, let's be inspired by them. If we're totally honest, we have all been intimidated by others at work, school, the gym, church, family, and even relationships. Instead of comparing and compromising who we are, why don't we turn our intimidation to inspiration? God created you uniquely for a unique purpose, to fulfill that you have to be uniquely you! No one else can fulfill YOUR purpose. If you change who you are out of intimidation or comparison, you might as well slap God in the face and say what you created wasn't good enough. If God wanted us all to be the same, we would all be a bunch of Barbie dolls, no birthdays needed, we would all be born the same day, look the same, talk the same, walk the same. That's not what life is intended for, we all have a unique purpose and calling, that’s why God made us all unique and different. People go before you to show the way, to continue what those in front of them had started, to inspire, encourage, and set the pace. It’s our job to pick up where they left off, learn from them, to be inspired by them, and continue what others have started. We learn from those before us, just as Christ set an example for us.In Ephesians 2:10 it says, "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." in the dictionary Masterpiece means, "an artists or craftsmen’s BEST piece of work." God created you specifically the way you are by no mistake. He created you to be unique so you could stand out for Him!

Comparison will kill your character because you are so consumed by everyone else, you'll lose who you are. You'll lose who God created and intended you to be and why.

Comparison is like coloring your hair. After awhile, always changing, trying to be like others, or keep up with the times and latest style or trends, you'll forget what your natural hair color is. All that coloring will change the original texture of your hair and soon you don't resemble who God created you to be at all. You are God's BEST PIECE of work and you can't lose sight of that. We are all different for a reason, just like pieces of a puzzle. We all have our own place and we serve a very specific purpose. We May not see it but if one piece is out of line, the entire puzzle is thrown off. Don't lose who you are and what God has planned for you because someone else looks cooler, or they live in a better place, or they have a better job, or they have the ideal relationship. Remember, anyone’s highlight reel can look good but it's what's on the inside that truly matters. God has a lot inside of YOU for a reason. Quit worrying about everyone else and not seeing the bigger picture. You're not intended to see the bigger picture, we probably couldn't handle it. God is the craftsman, He is holding the top of the puzzle box, He sees the bigger picture and He's placing every piece exactly where it's supposed to go. He trusts us to do our part, now we have to trust in Him to do His. Turn your intimidation to inspiration, spend less time talking about things and spend more time actually doing things, always pray about it more than you talk about it, and watch as God uses YOU!
