One Final Gaze; Do You Look Back?
When on the brink of discovery, we often look back. What we see, is who we are. Do we see the mistakes, or do we see the interwoven plan of God?When we were young, we were taught that if it didn’t work out, it was wrong. But as we grew older, we found it doesn’t usually work out, so we feel deeply, we’ve done it wrong. It is in looking back I see, I did it right, because less of me is more of Him and when I am weak He is strong. What some may call “rock bottom”, others call “living the dream”; it is our perspective that matters here. It happened and it’s through. We couldn’t go back if we wanted too, but how we look back can discern how we go forward.
Looking back now I see, the God of provision stamped upon my life.
His loving arms around me, and dreams coming true through circumstances I could not imagine, but here I am. “You made a way where there was no way, and I believe I’ll see You do it again.”Living in the life I wanted, brought here, or dragged here At times kicking and screaming. Other times running full steam ahead, and still another, full surrender and the words, “You choose, I trust you.”. None the less, here I stand, and here I’ll stay, cradled in the hand of God. Because “I trust you”, isn’t just a phrase and aren’t just words, I truly do.

Knowing the God of my past enables and pushes me forward, blindly, knowing I’ll be caught when I fall. I know I’ll be taken care of, knowing He will never fail me, knowing I will never go hungry, knowing I will always have a home even if it’s not mine, knowing with nothing but purest confidence, that I am okay, and I’ll be okay, because, when I look back, I don’t see me, I see Jesus.
