Wrestler Shawn Michaels' Transformation

Many of us grew up watching WF Wresting or what is now known as WWE wrestling. Shawn Michaels, “The Heartbreak Kid,” got into wrestling at the young age of 19 and didn’t really know his identity. He felt like he could do absolutely anything but was too shy. He believed the only way any personality could come out would be through drugs and alcohol.Partying, drugs, and alcohol became a lifestyle for him. He got married in 1999, to Rebecca Curci within a month of being introduced to her. Six weeks later, they found out she was pregnant. She realized this crazy lifestyle of his wasn’t just typical partying… it was every day. He figured he had about 9 months to quit what he was doing. However, that didn’t happen.

His wife grew up in a Christian household and gets plugged into church. He was shocked by the change she made in herself. One day his 2-year old son crawls on him said, “Daddy is tired.” Shawn then realized that his son was seeing what was really happening. He then finds himself at the parking lot of a local church and went in looking for a bible study. A man volunteers to invite Shawn to his. He told him that he must accept Jesus as Lord and Savior to be in the group. He asks Shawn if he would like to and then led him into a prayer of salvation. They then began to disciple him.

“My life was never the same, it has never been the same.” - Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels with his family. He comes home to tell his wife that he got saved. She told him about how all of those nights when he was passed out she would go in the closet and pray for him. This is so powerful. She did not pressure him but let him come to Christ on his own and interceded for him. I personally did the same for a member of my family who was struggling with addiction that was life-threatening. The most powerful things we can do are to love them, pray for them, and give them to God. He will do the rest. This video testimony is beautiful, and I hope it blesses you as much as it has blessed me.
