Unique Identifier
Here on earth, we're called by and identified by our name. While we may take pride in our name, it's generally not unique to us. A friend may call out our name and someone else may sometimes answer unintended. An attempt to secure an email that contains our name will likely already be taken by someone else.To actually make us unique, other things need to be added to our name in order for it to exactly single us out, such as birth date and government issued social security number. So in effect, our "name" starts becoming this rather long string of alphanumeric characters all coupled together ("Hi, I'm Jesse Hunter - 07/10/1999-590-00-1234, how are you today?"). The simple truth is, here on earth, the name we were given at birth is inadequate to be our true identity. Our names are too one-dimensional and, by nature, not creative enough to describe all 7 billion of us uniquely. But not so in Heaven. In Revelation 2:17, Jesus says He will give us each a new name, one that is known and understood by each of us individually. Once we get Heaven, God, the master of creativity, will grant us a name as unique as we each are. No Social Security Numbers to uniquely identify you in Heaven, just a single name crafted by the Creator unlike any other that is capable of describing you fully to your depths. A perfect label, like the one hashtag to end all, that defines you to the core and compiles all of the various nuances within you into a single definition.
