The world doesn't owe you anything. It needs everything you have to give.
Newsflash: The world doesn't owe you anything. It doesn't owe you happiness. It doesn't owe you a good job. It doesn't owe you romance. It doesn't owe you success. It doesn't owe you friends. It doesn't owe you fulfillment. Nor does it owe you a healthy family or marriage. It doesn't owe you an enjoyable retirement. Life doesn't owe you a thing. Not a car, a job, a boat, a sexy spouse, a good social life, or well behaved children.Everything you have is a gift from the grace of God. Take a breath. That was a miracle. The fact you awoke this morning is a blessing. Some didn't make it through the night. Before we go on, I challenge you to go to God and ask Him how much you take for granted. How much He has given you in this miraculous life that you may not appreciate.If you want those things, by God’s grace we have been given the gift of free choice to decide what in life we want to earn. Perhaps this Monday you will look with fresh eyes at the world knowing not that "I haven't gotten what I deserve" but "I am so blessed with the opportunity to earn good things in this life that many will never imagine."That being said, what will you give your life to earning? Will you earn a large income and save up retirement funds to live in luxury throughout your golden years. I hope you are doing some of that. It would be foolish not to. But is that your greatest endeavor. What hope are you living for?Because I can tell you there is a desperate world out there, with a whole lot of broken people that need that the blessed of this world to set their sights not on earning for themselves but offering their lives up as living sacrifices to serve the broken that they may have a glimpse of the hope, the light and the blessing we take for granted on a daily basis.I pray today that we will get a revelation of overwhelming ease and abundance of our lives in the western world, and have new eyes to see those who do not have our blessings. And find a way to serve them. The world needs people who have decided they will spend their lives serving others.
