Following God's Plan with No Pouting Along The Way

Have you ever found yourself somewhere and wished you were somewhere else? Maybe you thought you would be doing something else. Maybe you were thinking you would do something else rather than what you currently are. Perhaps your plan was different. Maybe you are feeling this way right now.I have been going to the same kids camp as a counselor for the last few years. I always feel like God has me there for a purpose. It never fails, I come back knowing God was able to use me. But this year, my work has taken me away from it. I have not been able to be there. I have struggled with this, as it seems very obvious that God should want me to be at this camp vs. being at work.

Camp HAD TO BE Gods plan. But that's not where I am going...

The challenge now is for me to make more of an impact where I am and not where I wanted to go. There has to be a reason for God to bring me to this place. I won't know until I get there, and its highly possible that I will not know even after that. I may never know.

Instead of being upset that you aren't going to be where you want to be, focus on BEING WHERE YOU ARE. If you continue to think about where you wish you were you will miss what God puts right in front of you. Give God a clean slate do work in a different surrounding.Think about Paul. When he was put in prison, he could have very easily just been upset and tried to find a way out of where he was to get back to where he thought he should be. And he was doing Gods work before, he was preaching the Gospel. He must have asked God at some point (or maybe multiple points) why he was sitting in prison. But what he didn't do was sit silent or be upset about it. He made the most of it. Despite being arrested he preached the Word and wrote letters to those all over, many of which are in the Bible today. Talk about an unexpected impact. If Paul had his way and stayed our of prison he may have never written some of the books of the Bible that have made the impact they do today.

Don't allow YOUR circumstances to negatively impact God's plan and opportunities, which He puts in front of you. No Pouting!
