Your plans will be better with more Jesus in them.

Sometimes you make a plan and it sounds pretty good.  Sometimes you follow through with your plan.  And then sometimes, your plans get shot down and filled with more holes than a swiss cheese doughnut.Tonight I had a great plan in place and it was drastically changed by a good friend, and I can honestly say that the change was much better than I could have expected, and I would have never planned it that way had I don’t it myself. The point is that while I thought my plans were good, God didn’t agree with me, and thus He took action.  He presented me with an alternative option, which I took, and showed me why He is smarter than I am.I too often try to implement a plan that I have created and leave little room for God to have a part in it.  I have found that if you provide Him with the ability and space to move in your life, He will take the opportunity and not disappoint.  Luckily, tonight I was open to hearing from Him and accepted the change.  My fear is that I have missed many other opportunities that He has clearly put in front of me.  Whatever the reason is that I miss these opportunities…its not good enough. You are not too busy.  You are not too tired.  You do have time. You don’t have anything better to do.   While you may think the opposite of a lot of these statements…you are wrong.  The simple fact is that your plans and life will be better with more Jesus in it, so make that happen.  Think about the plans you make every day and look to see if there is space in them for God to move.  And always be sure that you are not too proud of your plans that you don't change when God makes a suggestion.Isaiah 55:8-9“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."Luke 18:27But he said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”Proverbs 3:5-6Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
