One of Gods Greatest Qualities

Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out what to write about, sometimes it comes to me at the last minute, sometimes its extremely clear all week long.  This week it was the later, but I didn't realize it until the last minute.  God kept telling me the same thing, and showing me the importance of it, but it didn't click until about yesterday that I should write about it.

  • I heard Loui Giglio speak about it to our youth last Wednesday.
  • I heard a pastor at our church speak about it the following Sunday.
  • I felt that every bible verse I read over the last week had something to do with this topic.
  • I saw it through watching President Obama give a eulogy in Charleston, SC.
  • I saw this acted out over and over again, and in conversations and in deed all week.

It is simply one word...LOVE.I saw all these things transpire throughout the week, and my only thought each time I heard it was, "I'm glad this is being said, because there should be no limit to how many times someone tells you that you are loved by God."There are some people in my life that I just want to grab and look them in the eye and yell at them..,"GOD LOVES YOU!"  It makes me sad knowing that people honestly believe that God hates them for something that they have done.  A good friend and pastor of mine, Pastro Clay Baird, explained it simply as one of the few things that God CANNOT do.  You think God can do everything, but He cannot stop loving you.  Its just not in His nature. If I could choose one thing to have preached every day to our youth and/or the earth as a whole, it would be simply that God Loves You.There's a reason one of the most popular songs you learn growing up in church is "Jesus Loves Me."  There's a reason that God has allowed John 3:16 to become the most popular verse in the world.  If we are to remember one things out of the bible I believe He wants us to remember that He SO Loves us!John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."Its also not a coincidence that when asked what the greatest commandment is, Jesus' response was,Matthew 22:34-40"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"And just in case you are one of those people that think God does;t love you, He gave us this promise and re-assurance.Romans 8:38-39"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.No more words are needed after that...just remember. God Loves You!
