Seek Jesus and You Will Find Him [Believe and You Will Be Saved]

One of the most important questions that everyone must wrestle with is; “Is Jesus who He said He was?” The answer to that question changes your whole life. It requires you to put the words from the Bible into practice, "Seek Jesus and you will find Him."As for me, I am betting my whole life that Jesus is who He said He was. But that is no simple answer. He said He was the Son of God, the Messiah, the Christ, and the Anointed of God. His atoning sacrifice on the cross paid for your sin and my sin and whoever believes in Him will have everlasting Life. He became the Savior of the world.  And for many of us, who have surrendered our lives, repented, and accepted the grace of salvation, He has become our Savior.

But Jesus is even more than that.

In St. Paul's letter to the Philippians, He shows us a deeper insight in to the nature of who Jesus is; "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” - Philippians 2:9-10Jesus is Lord of all. The next equally important question becomes, “Who is Jesus to you?" Is He some religious figure that all those hypocrites drink the Kool-Aid with? Is He your Savior? Or is He your Lord?

I have walked a dark prodigal path in life; sex, drugs and rock' n roll, an empty life of worldly pursuits.

The God came and plucked me out of the muck and the mire. Jesus captured me and saved me. I gave my life to Him and a new life began. Praise God!But if I am honest, I was still one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom of God for years. I was attending Church regularly, pursuing God, reading His Word, but still partying, still sexually active, still addicted to pornography, still prideful, still judgmental, and still so selfish. Thank you Lord for delivering me!

I had Jesus in my life but I had not given Him ALL of my life. I wanted my life, my pleasures, MY WAY, plus a little of Jesus when it suited me. But that is not how this program works. Jesus is either Lord of all or He isn't Lord at all. You don't get to have life your way and follow Jesus. It's going to cost you something.  And in America, we all bow down to the idol of comfort. We'll go to Church as long as we don't have to miss the football game or give up the juicy gossip magazines or shows.Jesus is calling us into something so much better. Many of us love the promise in Jeremiah 29:11,"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." But we forget to read the next verses. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

I urge you to do as the scripture says, seek Jesus and you will find Him.

  • Are you seeking Him with all your heart?
  • Have you given Jesus all your heart?
  • Is He really your Lord?
