There is No Such Thing as Time

So if you have ever met my father and had any sort of conversation with him about the subject of time as it relates to God, you will appreciate the title of this post.My dad's point is simple (as much as I hate to fuel his fire here). God created time, but He lives outside of it.  Its one of those things in the Bible that can be extremely confusing if you try and think too much about it.  So rather than thinking about it and confusing you on a Wednesday, just think of it like this...If God created time, then He knows the future.  And if He has been around since the beginning of time, He knows the past.2 Peter 3:8"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day"So If anyone knows what is in store for you in your life, it is Him.Why do we try and figure it out on our own?  Why don't we trust that the Creator of the universe understands our future and what is best for us better than we do? He's very clear that He knows...Jeremiah 29:11"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."So my point today will not take a lot of time (pun intended).  It's simply this.  Don't rush God.  Don't think that your timing is better than His because I guarantee you that it is not.  With a little bit of patience, I promise you will look back and realize that His timing was perfect, and you'll be glad it happened when it did.Psalm 27:14"Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"I don't know what is going on in your life today, but take 30 seconds to think about your life and what you need to have patience on.  Then re-read these three verses above and take a deep breath....GOD'S GOT IT UNDER CONTROL!
