Why You Need to Be a Warrior Instead of a Worrier
The difference between being a worrier and a warrior is merely what you focus on. A worrier is focused on the negative and what could go wrong. Constantly thinking about all the pessimistic variables. Meanwhile, a warrior is focused on the positive and how to overcome and triumph in every area of their life. Constantly thinking about all the positive variables.Your mind is a mighty thing. 2 Timothy 1:7 says,
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind."
God wants us to have a sound mind filled with wisdom, clarity, direction, discernment, power, and love. If we seek to do God's will in our lives, then we should seek to have a mind filled with His thoughts and not thoughts of insecurity, doubt, criticism, worry, stress, or even thoughts instilled by others.

Yes, we are human, so doubt and worry will try to creep in, but we can't allow the enemy to have that kind of power over our lives. The enemy only has as much power as we give him. Our job is to fight daily, to keep pursuing God's plan and purpose for our lives. We must make more room for God to speak into our lives than those around us.It is a daily fight against the enemy to be a warrior rather than a worrier. Ephesians 6:12 says,
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
The true definition of a warrior is a brave soldier or fighter. To be brave means to be ready to face and endure danger or pain, showing courage. Being brave doesn't mean it will be pain-free, but it does mean you show courage when faced with adversity. No one person is strong enough to handle everything that the world has to throw at us, so to put your mind at ease, 2 Corinthians 12:9 says,
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
Right there, God states that we don't need to have all the answers or all the physical or mental strength in the world. We need to have faith in God, so His strength can shine through our weakness. That is exactly how God gets the glory in our lives simply because we would be nothing and accomplish nothing if it were not for God in us.
If we allow ourselves to stay focused on God, our worrisome mind can be turned into the mind of a warrior; a warrior for Christ.
The battle of our mind is a genuine thing. The enemy knows if he can make you begin to question what God has already promised, your entire world can turn to chaos in the blink of an eye. We can never allow the period at the end of God's sentence to be changed to a question mark by the enemy.
