God is my abundance.
You will be tested in two places in your life; in times of scarcity and times of abundance. Most fail in abundance.
If you are in a time of scarcity, it is easier to be reminded to look to God and to trust Him. (I'm not saying these times are easy; just easier to look to God.) During these seasons, God is often all we have. We have nowhere to turn other than God. Whether its relationship problems, financial problems, heath problems, or any other sort; it is easier to trust God, because we know that we need Him.When people say, "I really need God right now." My answer is always, "When do you not need God?"What happens when the scarcity, or the difficult time passes? Many people stop focusing on their relationship with God and use Him more as a comfort for difficult times. "God I know that I need you, but right now things are good." Once things get good in our lives, God takes a back seat until next time we are struggling. A lot of people do this with church as well; they only show up consistently when things are bad in their lives... Once they get their life back in order, they're gone!Is this a clear picture of what happens with you once you are out of that season of scarcity or difficult time? This is a dangerous place to allow your life to end up in. If you are only going to God when things are not working out; I question if you are truly in a relationship with God. The bible says in Matthew 19:24 "Again I tell you; it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." Abundance is a synonym for the word rich as used in this bible verse. For my life, I do my best to always keep the mindset of someone that is in scarcity. I live as someone who is always in need or as someone who is always struggling. My abundance is God; not any earthly possession, material or relationship. No matter what God blesses me with, financial freedom, comfortable living situations and amazing relationships, I will always remember that without God I am in scarcity.Ask yourself these questions:1. Am I really living for God?2. Do I only run to God when I am in need?3. Am I living for God during times of abundance?4. Is my bible covered in dust because my life is good right now?Live as someone who without God is always in scarcity, let your mindset be that God is your abundance, not anything that is attached to this earth.
