Avengers End Game: Thoughts From a Movie Novice
I’m sure you have heard by now that Avengers End Game is the highest grossing movie of all time. I was part of that historic feat as I was there opening weekend anxiously awaiting to take in the follow up to Avengers Infinity Wars. About this time last year, I posted an article on the then latest Avengers movie, “Avengers Infinity Wars” sharing what God revealed to me through the movie. I thought what better way then to do that again but with the newest Avengers movie, Avengers End Game.Again, if you haven’t seen End Game go watch it and leave your thoughts and comments below after reading this post!

What’s Most Important in Life?
One of the main underlying questions in Avengers End Game is, what’s most important in life? It comes up time and time again with seemingly every Avenger mentioning the lose of their loved ones in the last movie (Infinity Wars). It was their driving force for wanting to do something to bring those loved ones back because they are the most important thing in their life.Clearly, we can all relate to this longing. I mean, who wouldn’t’ want to bring loved ones gone before us back to life? But this is where the secular world and Christian world differ. If our loved ones are believers in Jesus Christ, we will get to see them again and not just for a short visit but for eternity! Now, I’m not saying that losing a loved one is easy, because it is far from it. But thankfully through Christ dying on the cross and rising from the dead we have a true hope in reuniting with them again.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 - The Lord’s Coming13 Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about those Christians who have died so you will not be sad, as others who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and that he rose again. God is the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever
**Spoiler below!**During the End Game movie, Ant-Man figures out a way to travel back in time. To travel back in hopes that the team can go back and change their current reality. As I was watching the different Avengers go back and forth between different times and era’s one thing really stood out to me. Even though we got to see the Avengers when they were younger and older, God is and was always the same in every reality.I think most of us who have been a Christian for a little while understand this conceptually. Being able to see it on the big screen really helped put it into context. It also helped me grasp the concept a little better. It doesn’t matter if it’s the year 2,187 AD or 59 BC. God is exactly the same, never grows old, and never stops loving us even if we aren’t born yet.
