Let it Rain

There is something about watching the rain pour down from Heaven... Watching each drop hit the road, like thousands of sparkles, cleansing the ground. How something, once so dirty, was now being washed away by a raging storm. Watching this made me realize that we are all like roads. In life we get run over, beat up, endure the weight and pain of others... The dirt of life is bound to make us worn down, needing repair. Sometimes to be completely cleansed, God sends us storms. Not to focus on the thunder, wind, or lightning... But on cleansing, renewal, and redemption. He is cleansing us like the road...giving us a clean slate to start again in a new day....a day like when we were kids and playing in the rain was exciting and fun, let go...let Him wash it all away...let it rain. Sometimes He will knock down trees in our paths to stop us from going that way... 

He may even let the power go out so you stop what you are doing and slow down, or maybe even destroy some long standing structures like relationships or career paths....and even when He allows some things (goals, relationships, etc) to be knocked down, He ALWAYS sends emergency specialists to help clean up after the storm. Look to your right and to your left... and glance up with a grateful heart as the drops fall upon your face and thank God for all of those people He has sent to you as your emergency specialists and for cleansing you...and do not forget..to just let it rain.
